Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Psychiatric Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience: Will accept an ED RN with BH experience

Skills: Seclusion protocols and procedures, Behavior management techniques, Crisis Intervention, De-escalation techniques, Managing Assaultive Behavior, Emergency care, Emergent chemical restraints, Physical Hold Protocols, Use of seclusion, and Voluntary/Involuntary commitment procedures.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience, Community Hospital Experience

Skills: Locked Unit and Medical/Psych treatment settings, care of patients with Anxiety, Assault/Violence, Bipolar Disorder, Congenital/Developmental Disorders, Degenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s), Depressive disorders, Eating Disorders, Personality disorders, PTSD, Impulse control issues, Psychotic Disorders, Schizophrenia, Self-injurious behavior, Severe intellectual disabilities, Substance use, Suicidal behavior, and Trauma-related disorders. You are also proficient in the administration of Antianxiety, Antidepressants, Antipsychotics, Mood stabilizers, and Sedatives/Analgesics, as well as Blood glucose monitoring and Psychoeducation.

Required Credentials: Drivers license or government issued photo ID.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, No on call.
