Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 10 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: • Scrub experience required • 5+ years total CST experience • 2+ years in cardiac & vascular • 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility • Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing Required Skills: • General OR • Thoracic • Vascular • CVOR procedures (CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, etc.) • Aseptic technique • Crash cart, scrub & circulate • Equipment documentation

Shift & Scheduling: It will be anywhere from 630am to 11pm with call. Hours will be filled in wherever the need is for the schedule. Shift: • 2X8 shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM • 2X12 shifts: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM • Day shift with call required • Must be flexible

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Cert: BLS - Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable

Previous Employment Requirements: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
