Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
36 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Medical - Surgical Telemetry (Float) - Required

Float Pool Position (15 medical surgical units)

Shift: 8 & 12H rotating day/eve/night

Patient Ratio: Day - 1/4, Night - 1/6

Will work all shifts as needed

Combination of 8s and 12s, 1 week 3H hour shifts and 1-12H shift

Every other weekend and holidays required

No call required

Unit specific procedures: 12 lead EKGs, lasix gtt, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring

Travel RNs are assigned to the medical surgical float pool

Supporting 15 medical surgical units, specializing in neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery gyn, gu, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys and or vascular.

Travel RNs are assigned to a unit either in a 2-3 week period and some weeks can receive assignment 2 hours before shift

We are unable to provide a set schedule, but honor RTO.

Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise - Preferred

Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday)

No blocked scheduling requests or specific days off, week over week, will be approved

All RTO requests must be presented at the time of submission.

Travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last six months will not be accepted

Must be separated from facility for six months to be considered

Dress Code: Scrubs - Any Color

Public transportation is available.

Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours Biweekly on all Assignments – these guaranteed hours do not include any “on-call” time worked
