Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with different patient types.
  • ESI assessments during Triage.
  • Able to care for all level of patients, using critical thinking, good communication and willing to ask questions, prioritization of care.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of ED experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Shifts Times: 0630-1900,1000-2230,1200-0030, 1400-0200 and 1830-0700 – if working variable shifts, will not work both Days and Nights in the same week.
  • Traveler could potentially work every weekend, depends on staffing. They will be used to fill holes in the perm staff schedule
  • Holiday Expectations: Only if needed

Floating Requirements: Could float to inpatient Med/Surg, PCU or ICU areas only as a task nurse (not to take an assignment). Could be floated within scope of practice and below.
