Will you accept a first-time traveler: L&D RN: Upon review; ANM: yes, as long as they have solid Charge Nurse experience and 3 years of nursing experience
Patient Types
Skills required L&D RN: High acuity experience: labor management and delivery of high risk OB patients, ability to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, cervical checks, reading/interpreting fetal monitoring strips; second set of hands (receive and recover normal newborn as needed)

Weekend rotation: Every other, but can be variable based on need

Holiday Expectations: Yes, fair and equitable; no holidays for ANM, but they may be able to pick up if needed
Approval of time off: RTO requests prior to contract approval

Floating: If yes, where: Antepartum (within L & D), postpartum (4th floor) (occasionally), additional assignments within scope and experience
Patient Ratio: Per AWHONN guidelines: 1/1 active labor / 1/2 non-active laboring / 1/2-3 antepartum, dependent on acuity
