An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience: 1-2 years previous Emergency Department experience
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Care for pediatric emergency department patients, including assessment, medication administration, teaching, wound care, EKG, obtaining vs, providing mental and behavior health care, etc.
Majority of their cases are low acuity, but also see high acuity as well.
Unit/Facility Details: Provides nursing care in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high-risk body fluids, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals and waste.
Efficient, fast paced 50 bed ED.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Rotation: 2 weekends per month
Holiday Rotation: Rotate every other
Floating Requirements: Caregivers would be floated to “sit” for a patient and not perform actual inpatient nursing duties
