IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Seizure disorders, Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, and Additional Skills, EVD Monitoring HARD STOP.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports*, Arterial line management*, Blood Product Administration*, Phlebotomy*, Starting and maintaining IVs*, Aneurysms and repair*, Craniotomy*, Intracranial bleeds*, Lumbar drains*, Pre/Post neurosurgery*, Spinal cord injury*, Traumatic Brain injury*, External CPAP/BIPAP*, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management*, Feeding tube care and management*, Heparin Protocols*, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration*, PCA*, Titrate Cardiac drips*, IV insulin protocols*, and Titration of Insulin drips*. Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. PCU preferred--will take MS RN.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request. RTO required with submission, must be built into contract.
Shift & Scheduling: Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: up to 6 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule period. Saturday/Sunday for dayshift, Friday/Saturday for nightshift. Rotating weeknights and weekends. Rotating holidays. Traveler will be required to float to different units within the osu organization as needed.
Floating Requirements: Will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.
