Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Orientation is bi-weekly.
Weekends: Every Other
Call requirements on call one day per week and one weekend per 6 week schedule. It is scheduled as part of the staff schedule that is released for 6 weeks, at least 1 week prior to schedule start date. .
Any specific certifications required: RN with endo & moderate sedation experience.
Float Requirements: To OR for Endoscopy procedures and to PACU for post-endoscopy procedure recovery
Additional Notes: Department does bronchoscopy as well as Endoscopy.
Patient ratios: pre-procedure 2-3:1. In procedure 1:1, post procedure 2-3:1.
Equipment, charting systems: Olympus endoscopes, Endopro and Cerner charting.
Patient Population: mixed, minimal pediatrics.
Must Have Skills/Experience: Endoscopy experience in RN and tech roles.
Diagnosis/Treatment: EGD/Colonoscopy/bronchoscopy.
Scrub Color: hospital provided.
