Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Block Schedules: No

Will work every third weekend

On-Call: None

Will float to other Med Surg departments as needed

Special Requirements:

Telemetry experience - Preferred

PICC Line Management, Starting IVs

Parking Cost: Parking permit required, no cost.

Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Types: Orthopedic elective surgeries such as total joint replacement hips, knees, shoulders, spine surgeries, trauma patients needing many orthopedic surgical interventions, osteomyelitis and other infections involving skin and bone needing long term IV antibiotics

Special Procedures: Traction, bedside debridement, complex dressing changes

Can auto approve non-holiday RTO. Anything more than the maximum allowed requires facility approval.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
