Required Skills/Experience: MUST have at least 2 years experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics along with ED. Level IV NICU Experience, Experience with High frequency jet ventilator. 2 years of CURRENT NICU AND PICU experience.
Oscillating Ventilatorpediatric cardiac anomalies. Medication Delivery Systems including Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI); Medication Administration of Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Tobramycin, Xopenex; Care of Patient With ARDS, Bronchoscopy, ECMO; Neonatal/Pediatrics procedures including Assist in high risk delivery, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, ECMO, Oscillating Ventilator, Umbilical blood gases; Ventilator Management including BiPAP, CPAP, High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation; Nebulizer use including Cold, Hand held, Heated, T-piece, Trach collar, Ultrasonic; Experience in Work Settings including Emergency Department, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics; Airway Management/Suctioning including Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management; Oxygen therapy including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Protocol Driven ECMO; Professional Knowledge and Skills including Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Medication Administration of Combivent, Isuprel, Ketamine, Perforomist, Spiriva, Theophylline; Ventilator Management mode Flow-by.
Unit/Facility Details: Level IV NICU. Oscillating Ventilator. Pediatric cardiac anomalies. Strongly prefer RRT. Will consider CRT candidates on a case by case basis. ONLY if they meet ALL other skill/experience requirements.
Special Requests: RTO: must be included with submission.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirements: Yes, 6 weekend shifts per schedule. The schedule is published in 6 week blocks.
