Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
18 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license
Certifications
BLS (Required)

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Previous Charge Experience - Preferred

Teaching Hospital Experience - Preferred

Shift: 4x12s or 3x12s

Will work every other weekend

On-Call: No

Will float as needed per department needs

Special Requirements:

Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management.

Required Professional Skills and Knowledge: Isolation Precautions.

Dress Code: Scrubs - Any solid color.

Parking Cost: Parking permit required, no cost.

Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Orientation: 24 Hours

Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Types / Diagnosis: GI Bleed, Bowel obstruction, colon cancer, bowel resection, Diverticulitis, cholecystitis, alcohol withdraw, appendicitis, pancreatitis

Special Procedures: TPN administration / NG insertion / Tube feedings / Heparin drip

Can auto approve non-holiday RTO requests. Anything more than the maximum requires facility approval

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
