Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license

Additional Details:

Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Orientation Dates: 8/13, 8/27 Only.

Float as needed between units 3W (28 beds), 2W (28 beds), 3 Central (16 beds)

No self-scheduling, no on-call. Weekend and holiday requirements.

Schedule: 3/2 split, 3/1/3 split, 7on/7off.

Minimum 2 years acute care experience required.

Strongly prefer 400+bed or level 2 trauma exp.

Ratios- 1:5, 3W and 3C 1:4 and if staffing is critical 1:5.

Patient care modality: Respiratory failure, COPD, Kidney failure, overdoses, sepsis. 2 West has vascular pre and post op patients.

Scrubs: Black.

No block scheduling.

Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months.

If hcp declines, a mask must be worn at all times, with the exception of mealtimes.

All RNs will be required to take and pass a “pre assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm Strip) test and RNs should be prepared, passing score is 80%.

NMMC needs complete availability and flexibility with scheduling. This is non-negotiable.

HCP is expected to maintain their contracted position at NMMC as the primary commitment above any other type of work.
