Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
References

Guaranteed Hours: 36

FHM does not have to be AWHONN, will also accept NCC

Will care for high-risk patients such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiples (twins only). Nurses do it all: pre-labor/triage, delivery, post-partum, and nursery care. Willing to train in nursery and lactation skills.

RN will attend c-section and will recover mom and baby.

RN needs to have significant resuscitation experience for newborns.

May float to ER or Acute Care floor as a sitter and will not take a patient assignment.

Education:

  • ● Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
  • ● Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience:

  • ● At least two years of recent Perinatal Nursing experience required; 5 years or greater preferred. If a Barton employee wants to transition to practice in the Family Birthing Center, then minimum two years inpatient nursing experience will be considered.
