Requirements

Experience

12 months of acute care experience.

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Dysrhythmia exam needed.

Preferred Credentials: Critical Care Course.

Types of Patients on Unit: Pre/Post Cath patients, mixed telemetry unit, post strokes, Afib, CHF exacerbation, etc. - No sheath pulling (done in Cath Lab).

Equipment Used on Unit: Alaris pumps, LifePak Defib monitors, Hoyer lifts, Glucometers, Dynamaps, Kangaroo pumps.

Unit Details: Drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin drips Non-titratable drips.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend/major holiday required.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other Med/Surg units is possible.
