No Blocking Schedules

Shift: Day/Night, 8/12 hr shifts, 07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30, Every other weekend, some holidays, no call.

Experience:

CVICU experience required

Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required

Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred

Telemetry:

Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Patient Diagnoses: CVCT ICU specializes in the care of cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients. Specifically, CABG, Valve Repair/Replace, Aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, Heart transplant, lung transplant, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, Cardiogenic shock, Heart failure, arrythmia management.

Special Procedures/Unit: CVCT ICU is a dynamic unit with a wide range of acuity. Staff assignments often change throughout a shift as patients are transferred out of the ICU and new patients are welcomed in as both a planned admission from the OR, or unplanned admit from ER, referring facility, or the community.

RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.

Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week typically on a Monday, but not all travelers will start on a Monday even if the contract has a Monday start. This is due to department specific orientation schedules. Travelers should follow the start date and time listed in their welcome letter and department schedule. Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change traveler should follow instructions in welcome letter). Orientation is typically about one week. Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher
