Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit

Patient Care Unit (PCU) - Required

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Floating: Yes (Obstetrics)

Required:

Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital

Experience as a charge nurse

Alliance, NE does not have Uber or Lyft services and traveler will need their own reliable transportation for the assignment

Patient population: COPD with exacerbation, CHF, heavy emphasis on swing bed (average stay is 12 days) to keep patients local and care for patients with amputations, wound care, long term antibiotics, etc.

There are some post partum and pediatric patients on this unit

May float to ED, but only function as “task” nurse.

Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy Blue

Manager adds travelers to the schedule after BBGH staff has completed self scheduling

Orientation: Held every Wednesday, consisting of three days of classroom orientation and one shift with preceptor
