Shift & Scheduling: Monday - Friday
With Call (more details to come on the call schedule)
Cover a call weekend approximately every 6 weeks, so 2 per 13 week schedule. A call weekend starts on Friday evening at approximately 6pm and ends Monday morning at 7:00am.
On Call staff must be within 30 minutes of arrival when paged for an acute STEMI case.
The RT will also be responsible to cover 1 call night per week, so they will work a call shift, coming in at 9:3O am, working until 6:00 pm, potentially a little later if there are cases needing to be completed (We typically do not put our on-call team in complex, lengthy cases while on-call). The weekday call is from 6:00 pm until the next morning at 7:00 am.
We also have a late-shift, from 10:30 am until 7:00 pm, or until the last scheduled case of the day is finished. If it is a 6:00 pm, and all other staff go home, including on-call staff, and there are 2 cases left, the late team will be responsible for finishing those 2 cases.
Typically staff cover 1 late shift per week. So the work week has 1 call shift, working a 9:30am-6:00pm shift, a late shift working a 10:30-7:00pm shift (or until the last scheduled case is done for the day), the remaining 3 days of the week are typically 7:30am-4:00pm shifts.
