References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

ED boarder IMC.

Weekend Req: Every other weekend required

Float Req: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

Skills Req: Cerner, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Nasal Cannula, Isolation Precautions

Skills Preferred: Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown

This RN will assume the care of admitted patients with varying diagnoses while they are boarding in the ED awaiting bed placement on an inpatient unit.

Scrubs: Any Color

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.

All travelers must be able and wiling to accept assignments that include COVID-19 patients
