Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift Notes: 10 or 12 hour shifts. No Call

Charting System: Xper through Philips and CPSI. We will be transitioning to Cupid with Epic in May 2026.

Must have recent experience in a high-volume cardiac cath lab setting.

Procedures include: left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral angiography/interventions, Impella assisted PCIs, and aiding in emergent scenarios.

Required skills and minimum years of experience

• Proficiency in all phases of patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care
• Strong working knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and administration of moderate sedation
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, defibrillators, and IV infusion pumps
• Skilled in sterile technique, circulating, and assisting during procedures
• Must be able to respond confidently to cardiac emergencies (e.g., code situations)
• Experience training or mentoring staff is preferred, as travelers will be expected to support onboarding and education of in-house team during non-procedural time

Typical weekday shifts (Monday–Friday) with variable start times based on procedure schedule

Days of the week are variable.

Late call is required.

Training/education is expected to be provided on days when Cath Lab cases are not scheduled.

May assist in OR or recovery area during downtime if cross-trained.
