Additional Details:
Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting. 3 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it's within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.
Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.
Shift & Scheduling: Every 3rd Weekend As Needed And Every 3rd Holiday As Needed. No Call.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Pediatric experience,
- Must have strong PACU phase 1 recovery large complex cases neuro, thoracic, vascular, and ortho spine.
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry
Required Credentials: Must pass Tele test on day 1 with 84% or better.
Floating Requirements: To Moakley PACU if needed.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Trauma, Pediatrics, Ortho, General, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology (IR), Neuro (IR), Electrophysiology (EP) Cases.
Unit Details: Average number of cases per day ranges from 30-60 and the unit is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
