Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Operating Room experience.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Level 1 Trauma Experience; RN must have strong scrub and circulate skills; Experience in Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, General Surgery.
- Resource must have 2 years of recent acute care experience in the OR.
- General OR, Additional Skills, strong scrub and circulate skill.
- Strong scrub adn circulating exp.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric and Gynecology
- Trauma*.
Unit/Facility Details: Per Aya standards we need 2 references within 2 years of start but this will not prevent the candidate from starting on time.
Special Requests:
- You must be able to start on the start date specified for this job.
- Do not apply if you are not willing to meet the possible floating obligation.
- Labs must be completed within 48 hours of accepting an offer.
- RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.
- Cook does not approve block schedules or special requests. All time off must comply with the RTO policy.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Call Requirements: One 12 hour shift a month on a Saturday or Sunday, 7A-7P or 7P-7A. There is no week-day call.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend / 2 weekends per month
Floating requirements:
- Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Cook is a MANDATORY FLOAT FACILITY, all resources are required to float at the facilities discretion.
- Floating: PLEASE READ - Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their “home” facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles. Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift. If your clinician refuses to float, they will be subject to cancelation. There are no home units. Your clinician could be floated to a variety of units, including outside of their primary area of competency. If they are floated outside of their primary competency, the team-based model will be used.
