Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 22 months of Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license

SICU/Oncology

Previous Employment Requirements: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more.

Required Skills/Experience: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Special Procedures: External Ventricular Drain management, ICP monitoring, Massive Transfusion Protocol, Mechanical Ventilation, Heated High Flow, Bipap, CPAP, Tracheostomy, Management, CRRT, Vasopressors titration

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient Age group: Adults
Patient Diagnoses: Hemorrhagic shock, Hypovolemic shock, Sepsis, Septic shock, Pneumonia, ARDS, Craniotomy, Ischemic stroke, Hemorrhagic stroke, Intracranial hypertension, Delirium

Equipment Used on Unit:

NextStage CRRT
Belmont rapid infuser

Unit/Facility Details: 12 unit beds.

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract.

Floating Requirements: Travelers may float to James MICU or UH MICU/SICU. May also float to M/S or PCU units.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
