Travel Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Will work every other weekend. No on call. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Discuss block schedule requests with manager.

Floating Requirements: Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.

Experience: Cardiac IMC or ICU experience

Special Requirements:

-Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG.

-Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention skills/experience required.

-Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience required.

-Required IV therapy skills/experience: Accessing ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

-Required Medication Experience: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips.

-CVA/Acute Stroke management experience required.

-Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management.

-Required Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Code blue/rapid response

Patient Population: Adults

Common Diagnoses: Chest pain, chf, afib, nstemi, dysrhythmia, post cardiac interventions, ablations, cardiogenic shock, syncope, stroke, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, renal failure, gi bleed.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Cardiac cath recovery, chest tube, intubation, code blue

Others: Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Lab appointment, Docusigns and Badge Photo must be completed within a minimum of 1 week signing the contract
