CVPCU - Required

Unit Details: CVPCU is a fast-paced surgical step-down unit made up of a multidisciplinary team who primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries.

32-bed surgery unit providing care for patients who are post-op cardiac, vascular, and thoracic

12 of the 32 beds are available for IMC monitoring and the other 20 are for telemetry or non-monitored levels of care

Required Skills / Experience: Experience with high acuity patients.

2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience

Strong Surgical IMC experience

ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients

RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve repairs and Valve replacements, very heavy Cardiovascular Post-op step down

Patient Types: These clinicians specialize in caring for patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices like LVADs, as well as patients recovering from heart and lung transplants.

Patient Ratio: Mixed level of care assignments
