Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

• Experience with ortho/neuro/oncology.

• IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Gastrointestinal, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury, Medications, Heparin, Insulin, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Work Settings, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements, Genitourinary/Renal, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Plastics, Surgical drains.

Required Credentials: An on-site drug screen will be conducted with the following panels: Amphetamine, Barbiturate, Benzodiazepine, Cocaine, Meth, Methadone, Opiates, Oxycodone, PCP, Marijuana, and Buprenorphine. Failure will result in a cancelation or assignment.

Unit/Facility Details:

• Tdap declinations are not accepted at Midland Memorial Hospital.

• Drivers License/State ID: Government Issued Photo ID required

Shift & Scheduling:

• Start date of 11/17 or 12/1 strongly preferred

• 3x12s preferred. Extra shifts may be available upon request.

• Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 13 either Saturday/Sunday

• Expect to work some holidays.

Floating Requirements: Has to be able to float to Oncology, Ortho/Neuro, Medical, & Post-Surgical.
