Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Block Schedules: No - Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Cardiac IMC or ICU experience

Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend

On-Call: No

Will float as needed.

Special Requirements:

Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Obtain 12 lead EKG.

Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention skills/experience required.

Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience required.

Required IV therapy skills/experience: Accessing ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Experience: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. CVA/Acute Stroke management experience required.

Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management.

Required Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Code blue/rapid response

Parking Cost: Parking permit required, no cost.

Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests

Orientation: 12 Hours

Patient Population: Adults

Patient Types / Common Diagnosis: Chest pain, chf, afib, nstemi, dysrhythmia, post cardiac interventions, ablations, cardiogenic shock, syncope, stroke, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, renal failure, gi bleed.

Special Procedures: Cardiac Cath Recovery, Chest Tube, Intubation, Code Blue

RTO: Can auto approve non-holiday RTO. Anything more than the maximum allowed requires facility approval.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.

Any perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
