Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 9 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

No Block Scheduling.

Unit Details: Number of Beds : 40

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : HUC available 7:30-4; 4 PCTs scheduled each day and assigned to specific pods. Can draw labs, do catheterizations, and transport patients

Shift & Scheduling: 6 week schedules at a time; 3 call shifts required within the 6 weeks

Equipment Used on Unit:

Type of equipment : standard PACU equipment

Floating Requirements: Float within peri-anesthesia (Endoscopy/PreOp/Phase II)

Required Skills/Experience: Trauma experience, pediatric experience

NIH Stroke Scale experience

Advanced skills needed: ventilator monitoring
