Travel Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years of CVPICU or PICU exp required- HARD STOP REQUIREMENT: 2 years experience in a pediatric hospital
• PICU, Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line management, Arterial line management, Infectious Disease, Isolation Precautions, Medications/Emergency Medications, Continuous Sedation, IV vasopressors, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Respiratory, Assist/maintain chest tube, Assist/manage intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care, Ventilator Management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Additional Skills, do NOT pass for any missing requirements, See Special Equipment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Prefers close to 2 year's experience.
• Pediatric CVICU*, Congenital Heart Disease/Repair*, ECMO*, Post Cardiac catheterization*, Post cardiac surgery*, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Starting and maintaining IVs, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)*.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every Other.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating is required for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.
• Will float to NICU, PICU, PCU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas.
