Requirements

Experience

36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required from the last 4 years.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable with conscience & moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips, such as Integrilin, dopamine, & vasopressins, as well as balloon pumps.

Types of Patients on Unit: Cardiac/Coronary, Vascular, Peripheral, General IR (interventional radiology), EP & Neuro intervention. All perm staff cross-trained in each area.

Unit Details: Suites: 5 Suites: 2 suites primarily for coronary cases; 1 suite - peripheral cases; 1 suite - vascular & neuro cases; 1 suite for EP cases (electrophysiology)

Shift & Scheduling: Call: They are a STEMI (ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction) Center. They are not open on weekends; however, rotate 'call' for inpatient cases, urgent and emergent cases, etc. Ends up being 1X/week & 1 weekend/month. Weekend call runs from Friday evening trough Monday am; however, this is subject to change depending on the needs of the unit.

EMR System: Cath lab documentation is Merge

Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation.
