Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

18 months of Pediatric Oncology Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

18 months of experience in an acute & chronic care setting/solid oncology experience

Attentive to all types of cancer diagnoses.

Administering chemotherapy, blood components, fluid/electrolyte replacements and oncology treatments.

Most of our HemOnc patients remain in a 1/3 ratio; if we have med/surg patients on the unit this may fluctuate to 1/4
