Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Preferred 12 months of Nursery experience.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Required Skills/Experience: newborn care (Level I Nursery), transitional care and stabilization for transport of newborn and maternal patients, IV skills; assessment skills for antepartum. Minimum Experience: 2 years of level 1-2 nursery experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Laboring and recovery of delivered patient (vaginal & c-section) is preferred, not required.

Required Credentials: Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN, Relias, or C-EFM). NURSYS.

Types of Patients on Unit: postpartum, post-op c-section, post-op hysterectomy, newborns

Unit/Facility Details: Labor staff care for the antepartum, intrapartum, and delivery (vaginal or c/section) patients, circulates c/sections, recovery of delivered patient, well-newborn, postpartum; Nursery staff attend every delivery for catching of infant (vaginal and c-sections), care of the newborn infant (we deliver 35 weeks and greater), stabilization of the patient to be transferred whether newborn or maternal. Both areas start their own IV and draw labs. Infant stay for low blood sugar and phototherapy as long as improving. Beds: 9 plus 5 overflow, 9 LDRP with overflow available for up to 14 beds

Shift & Scheduling: 15 week contract for holiday needs.
