Required Credentials:
Preferred Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:
Adult Exam:
100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole
No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]
Passing score of 80% or higher
Pediatric Exam
Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
Passing score of 80% or higher
Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler’s assignment will be cancelled.
Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite
Special Requests:
Shift & Scheduling: Day/Evening, 8-hr shifts. Primarily first shift, start time varies between 6:30 - 8:30 AM. Weekend rotation and associated call. May be assigned other shifts based on operational needs. Will work between a minimum of two locations.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float.
