Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Abdomen and Pelvis, Abdomen without and/or with contrast, Colorectal studies (rectal contrast), Enterography study, Intravenous pyelogram, Pelvis without and/or with contrast, Work Settings, Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, Special Procedures, Brain perfusion, Colonography or virtual Colonography, Coronary CTA, Transplant studies, Vascular CTA, Head and Neck, Carotid, Head without and/or with contrast, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, Trauma head, Spine and Musculoskeletal, Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic, Chest, Chest without and/or with contrast, Heart (e.g., calcium scoring, coronary angiography), Equipment, PACS, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Preparation and/or administration of contrast media, Radiation Safety, Starting Peripheral IV’s

Preferred Skills/Experience: Community Hospital Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience, 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering), Region of interest measurement (ROI), ICU, Level I Trauma, Level II Trauma, Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Outpatient, Aspirations, Biopsies, CT arthrography, GE, Venipuncture

Required Credentials:

  • Minimum – Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Drivers License/State ID

Preferred Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

  • Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria.

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:

Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam

Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler’s assignment will be cancelled.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Special Requests:

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Evening, 8-hr shifts. Primarily first shift, start time varies between 6:30 - 8:30 AM. Weekend rotation and associated call. May be assigned other shifts based on operational needs. Will work between a minimum of two locations.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float.
