Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Burn Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirement: First to float. PICU, peds or adult ICU

Holiday Requirement: 2 out of 3 holidays

On Call Requirement: If census dictates with a drop, will put on call.

Basic EKG interpretation test assigned to them during orientation. Critical care RNs (ED/ICUs/PICU) will have more than just the basic interpretation test (like those included in the STEMI curriculum and Procedural Sedation curriculum assigned to them).

Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts in burn unit, 1 shift PICU or ICU and 1 shift peds

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Primary burns (ICU level to med surg level) for adults and children

Must have 1 year of burn experience in a Burn Unit. Floating to a Burn Unit does not count.

Additional Notes: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in a Burn ICU.
