Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule - Weekends are Fri/Sat for nights

Holidays: 1 major & 1 minor

Floating: Floating could happen between the 2 facilities to the ER. If floated prior to shift, would get a 2 hour notice prior start. Midshift floating could happen. The facilities are only 6.5 miles apart. First to float.

Beds: 18 Beds (Fast track staffed with midlevel's & LVNs)

Ratios: 1 to 4 unless ICU patient would be 1 to 2

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Less peds than Mercy Southwest campus. This campus has CDCR (correctional patients) officer comes from the prison & stays with them. All OB are transfer to the other campus. A little more homeless & indigent population here. No cardiac patients. These would be stabilized & transferred out.

Scrub Color: Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top it must be navy, white, or black.
