Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Saint Luke’s is a Nicotine free (this includes patches, gum, vape, etc.) Health System – all travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire.

Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.

If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year. Circulate Heart, Lung, Thoracic and Vascular Procedures Experience. Skills Req: Cardiovascular: Atrial Septic defect (adult) repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, MAZE Procedure’ Mitral valve replacement, TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement). Emergency management: Fire Safety. EQUIPMENT/ INSTRUMENTATION/SUPPLIES: Cell saver. Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Wound Management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Teaching Hospital Experience. Community Hospital Experience. LTAC Experience.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost – Free.

Special Requests: No travel partners accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Weekend Req: Yes, Weekend Call is required. On-call approximately 10 days a month.

Floating Requirements: Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed - they would need both Kansas and Missouri or compact in hand at time of submission. The unwillingness to do so will result in a cancel.
