Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Psychiatric Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Alaska license

Mental Health Unit.

36 guaranteed hours.

2 years of experience in inpatient mental health nursing.

BERT.

Types of procedures required.
Assessment and medication management of patients. Crisis management and de-escalation. Electronic charting. Occasional restraint/seclusion.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Omnicell, EMR - Meditech

Shift or schedule requirements. There is no plan for the employee to work alone; weekends, evenings and an innovative scheduled may be required.

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 6:1 day shift; 12:1 night shift

Dress Code: Scrubs/ business casual.

Shifts may include one twelve hour shifts and four six hour shifts.
