Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from any number of months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry, neuro stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown work settings; cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry on-unit monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, post-cardiac angiogram care, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, sheath removal, TR Band management; gastrointestinal care including feeding tube care and management; genitourinary/renal care including pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure; IV therapy/phlebotomy including arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, accessing/managing ports, starting and maintaining IVs; medications including heparin protocols, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), PCA, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips; neurological/psychiatric care including craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury; orthopedic care including ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacement; plastics care including skin grafts, surgical drains; respiratory care including care of ventilated patients, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), BiPAP/CPAP management, HFNC, interpretation of ABGs, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care/management; professional knowledge including isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac telemetry, telemetry remote monitoring.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 3x12 or 4x12 Days (0645-1915), able to accommodate 4x12s if candidate prefers.
  • Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
