Travel Nurse (LVN / LPN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Unit Details:

• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 42 Bed unit that cares for med-surg patients of all types, with specific care of the post-op general surgery, typically GI/GU in nature. Staffing includes Patient Care Techs of ~12:1, and dept asst(unit secretary) 7A-11p M-F and 7a-7p on S/S.

• General Med-Surg

Technology Used on Unit:

• Documentation system: Expanse as of 7/10

Shift & Scheduling:

• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend.

Special Requests:

• No blocked scheduling

Floating Requirements: Floating policy: C/L floats first to care for similar patient population.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Patient Experience requirements: Must meet patient needs timely, professionally, and with empathy. Any deviations from the highest level of nursing care will not be accepted.
• Requested Skill Set: Accountability, Time management, Self-Starter, general nursing skills.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

• Procedures performed on unit: Minimal, an occasional I&D, joint aspirations, and lumbar punctures.
