Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of PCU Float Pool experience within the past 4 years.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Previous Employment Requirements: Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years

Required Skills/Experience Must be well rounded and strong in Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General medicine, Oncology

Required Credentials: Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email

Unit/Facility Details: Each unit has up to 34 beds

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility

Ratios are 1/3 for Stepdown & 1/6 for Medsurg/Tele

Units included: 8 EAST - MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor) 8 WEST - Stepdown/Floor 8 NE - Stepdown 6E - Long term antibiotic infusion unit 7 EAST - Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit. 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor) 7NE ortho Neuro 10 EAST (Neuro Stepdown & EMU - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) 10 WEST/ 6 WEST - Neuro 9 EAST - Surgical Oncology/MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor) Unit 9 WEST/TCTU - Medical Oncology/Stepdown 8 WEST
