Travel Nurse (RN) - PCU Float Pool

Additional Details:

Assignment for 16-32 weeks

Will be assigned to float team

Every other weekend - Required.

Required:

Minimum of 1 year tele experience

Insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IV’s, post cardiac cath

Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable

Monday - Sunday

Bi-weekly Orientations on Monday

No block schedules for any reason

Public Transportation is not accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April

Orientation: 1 - 2 days

Patient Care Modality: Acute Inpatient Progressive Care Tele

Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy Blue or White; Shoes - Closed Toe, Non-Skid

Travelers will float 1st to appropriate units.

Self-Scheduling: No

Weekend Requirements: Yes - Usually every other

Call Requirements: No

Holiday Requirements: Yes, if needed

Patient Population / Patient Types: Acute Coronary Syndrome, Bipap/CPAP with compromised gas exchange, Cardiac diagnosis requiring closer monitoring, minimally titrating inotropic/vasodilator/antiarrhythmic/anti-platelet drips, Post PTCA/stent with arterial/venous sheath, Drug toxicity requiring advanced monitoring/frequent observation, ETOH withdrawal patient with high potential of airway compromise requiring frequent sedation, thrombolytic therapy for ACS or vascular patency, major vascular surgery or leg by pass with comorbidities, Hypotension/hemodynamic instability, insulin drip therapy, Heart Failure, Carotid surgery, Electrical cardioversion, Carotid surgery, Active rewarming for temperature regulation
