24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

AS completion required

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Additional Details:

Must have been continuously working in this speciality for the past 24 months, with no breaks in employment over 30 consecutive days.

Histology Tech - Required

Shift & Scheduling: Must work 2 major Holidays of the 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day

and 1 Minor Holiday: Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve

Required Skills / Experience: Min of 2 years of experience within specialty (Pathology Laboratory)

Required Credentials: Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or an Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit: Receiving specimens from surgery, accessioning specimen

Collection of blocks from PA staff, processing tissue, embedding, cutting, staining of slides.

Unit Details: Pathology, Cytology and IHC are all in Dept. 705
