Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

• Within past 8 months, candidate must have worked in an ED setting that has at least 45,600 visits per yr (125/day)

• Respiratory, CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilated patients, Work Settings, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions, Triage, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs

Unit/Facility Details:

• Drivers License/State ID: A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

• Call Required: Every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary.
