Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is preferred with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have 2 years, full-time experience in a large hospital PICU (strongly prefer level 1 pediatric trauma center).

Float Required: CTICU, NICU, H8A (pulmonary), Core (general/ED).

Floating is a requirement for most positions and a point of emphasis for Nationwide, travelers must be prepared to float to different units depending on the assignment.

Weekend Coverage: Every Other

Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: Could be asked to work additional weekends- will be scheduled based on unit needs.

Orientation Hours: 36

Support:

Patient Diagnoses: All respiratory patients, traumas, pulmonary , complex patients, all clinical disease processes. Being able to care for all ages newborn to adult in the Pediatric ICU. Will care for long term trach vent patients.

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

Optimal Flow

RT Therapies- Metaneb, cough assist, vests, cuirass (perferred), aerogens, chest physiology therapy, heliox

Vents LTV to add as well.

Equipment used in unit: Hard stop ventilator requirements - must have experience with 1 of the 3 ventilators-

  1. Hamilton G5 Vent 2. T1 Travel Vent 3. MRI ventilator affiliated with Hamilton.

Must also have exp with Respironics Trilogy, Respironics V60.

Please DO NOT PASS with any missing requirements. Screen for any missing requirements.

Cannot have worked perm for Nationwide for at least 2 years.
