Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
LPNs only: Must have previously worked on at least (1) a travel assignment with Trusted and have a reference from that assignment
Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits
MedSurg/Tele Float Pool - 93
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: What are common diagnosises or types of patients that you care for on your unit or in your department? CHF, Cardiac cath, CP, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, Ortho, & Oncology (perm staff will administer chemo)
All travelers must take & pass a cardiac rhythm exam. They feel that an RN with ACLS should easily be able to pass this.
Weekends only.
Float Pool RN's will report to the clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start time for unit assignment. RN's could float to all 6 units but will most likely be assigned a 'parent unit' & will only be assigned very basic telemetry patients, within their scope of practice. They must be able to read & interpret strips but will not have to titrate drips.
