Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Ratios couplet 1:3, Laboring1:1

Weekend Requirement Every 3rd weekend (could potentially be every other depending on need)

Holidays One major and one minor

Scrub Color Hospital provided

C-section experience required Yes (circulate required)

Floating NICU (for feeders and growers only)

Floor specific orientation 1-2 days

Common diagnosis / Types of patients 32 weeks - otherwise with transfer out, no VBAC, mag sulfate, insulin

Additional Notes Mothers labor & deliver in one bed. There is no nursery; newborns stay in bassinets in their mothers' rooms. Babies never leave their mothers' sides. They believe in skin-to-skin care. There is strong team-work in this department. In April 2018 they were honored for their designation as a 'Safe Sleep Champion' by the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS).
