Guaranteed Hours 36
Schedules made out about 2-3 weeks in advance initially and then try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance. Self-scheduling for the most part.
Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Nights - Fri/Sat
Holiday Requirements: Work into perm staff rotation
**Holiday RTO will be considered, however it may not be guaranteed
Floating Requirements: First to float, float to Tele or MedSurg
Unit PCU/Step-down (critical care stepdown)
Beds 14 beds/7 rooms
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Stepdown patients from ICU, TBI/trauma patients, major surgery, CEA, sepsis
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Arterial and CVP pressure lines; titrating pressors; precedex; trach & stable vented patients
RN’s should have experience in a ICU stepdown or PCU unit. Training is telemetry. Training in high risk medications
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, Levophed
