Required Skills/Experience: IV therapy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory/Thoracic, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Oncology, Genitourinary/Renal, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Medications, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Neurological, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Gastrointestinal, Professional Topics and Skills, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every Other weekends
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
• Holiday Required

Floating Requirements: Floating Contract Staff are expected to float to all adult critical care units and may float to ED or PACU to care for ICU patients in those areas. There may be occasions when ICU Contract RN is reassigned to Medical Surgical unit
