Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Holiday Requirements Expectation is to work to meet the needs of the unit.

First to Float - between College Station and Bryan campus (16 minutes apart) as needed

Is there a call or standby requirement? There is a possibility to be put on call for low census although they try to make sure travelers get their hours.

Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.

RN must pass the ADVANCED Dysrhythmia (83%) before signing the contract. They will be given three attempts to pass.

Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination

Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1/2- ICU for PCU 1/4 - all same unit

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac- MI, abdominal surgery, ortho surgery, Sepsis, overdose, COVID, general surgery. Post cath lab- some sheath removal (not required skill) Impella (not required), IABP (not required).

Okay with first time traveler.

Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy - undershirts must be navy. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3 shifts of orientation. If they have experience with Meditech/Pyxis it may be shorter.
