Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Pediatric Oncology Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Pedi Hemat/Oncology

Pediatric experience 1 year minimum experience in hematology/oncology APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Status

Monday-Friday

Number of Beds/Cases: Outpatient HemOnc clinic with 15-25 infusion patients/day Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: ALL, AML, Sarcoma, Sickle Cell Disease, Brain tumors, Hemophilia.

Any special procedure done on the unit? Central Line Care, Lumbar Punctures, Bone Marrow, Therapeutic phelbotomy, ARC exchange, CAR-T, blood transfusions, proton radiation recovery, Sedation recovery

What areas require floating? Staff share to inpatient HemOnc unit and Hampton University Proton Center Patient care delivery system (EG, Primary Care, Team Nrg):Primary Nursing Do you use computerized charting?
