Must work any shifts, preferably nights
Able to take care of Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, High Risk (PIH, placenta abruption, prolapse cord, placenta previa, VBAC, GDM, PTL, PROM, etc.), and Laboring Patients.
Taking care of Observation and NST Patients. Able to take care of Well Babies, Phototherapy, and Special Care Nursery Babies.
Willing to float to other departments if decrease in census and if needed.
We require someone who can start adult and neonatal IV's, adult and neonatal Accu checks, PKU on newborns,
Provide resuscitation on a newborn if needed, APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, delee of a newborn, and assist with circumcisions.
With a laboring patient: assist anesthesia in administration of intrathecal or epidural, monitoring PCA pump, attending C-Sections and taking care of the newborn, recovering patients after a C-Section or BTL, hanging IV fluids, or IVPB medications. Administering and titrating Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drip.
Monitoring and interpreting fetal heart rate to the physician. Monitoring a laboring patient on Cytotec, intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), internal scalp electrode (ISE) having a amnioinfusion, and assisting a physician with doing a external cephalic version (ECV).
Must have L&D, postpartum and nursery experience
